African Forestry is a non-profit and non-governmental organization operating on the will of the members/stakeholders, and endeavors to fulfill its objectives as per the constitution and work plan. The goal of the Organization is promoting responsible forest management in Tanzania and the region in future.

This is made possible with the view towards strengthening of the private sector, civil society and local communities in an environmentally acceptable manner through lobbying/advocacy, training and scientific research programmes.
